Some weeks ago, Henk ter Braack, a former client of me, surprised me with a very valuable gift; his book “List en Bedrog bij de Belastingdienst”. This book presents a very special view on the Dutch legal and tax systems. Henk describes relatively unbiased and in scrutinizing factual details the whereabouts of the Dutch tax and fiscal investigation authorities, while being a key suspect of tax evasion.
